Junior Pre-Sales Consultant – Palo Alto – PCNSE

This role would be perfect for a Palo Alto Technical Engineer looking for the opportunity to break into Consultancy.  The role description below will be the eventual role once you have been trained but it is essential that you have solid Palo Alto Technical skills and ideally PCNSE trained or at the minimum PSE to be considered.  The 1st month will be spent shadowing an experienced Palo Alto Pre-Sales Consultant both in the office and in front of customers.  You will build up with smaller clients and requirements doing technical demo’s, developing your presenting and white boarding skills, high level design documentation, kit lists, pricing, tender responses etc.  You must have an outgoing personality and enjoy engaging with customers to be successful.

Overview:

The Pre-Sales team within this highly successful global Multi £billion Solutions Provider is made up of highly qualified and experienced Systems Engineers/Pre-Sales Consultants/Solutions Architects, from networking, security and unified communications disciplines. Each individual will have the highest levels of both technical and commercial awareness within their particular discipline, as well as having a very good knowledge of all other aspects of the Solutions that this provider offers. Each individual will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels to develop and propose the most appropriate solution for the customer.

Key Responsibilities:

A high profile customer facing role with the responsibility to develop the re-seller channel technically for the Security business. This will include the provision, assistance and joint development of high quality solutions for re-sellers, based around the Palo Alto portfolio.

Working with the Sales teams, the Pre-Sales Consultant will work on joint campaigns and joint solutions which should be developed to ensure that the partner community gain the best value solutions in the market. Through this relationship each individual will also strive to become a ‘trusted advisor’ within the reseller, allowing the business to maximize the product penetration within any of these accounts.

Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record with Palo Alto products Focussed on Next generation Firewalls – Internet Gateway, Mobility, Network Segmentation/Zero Trust, Ransomware, Securing Your Private/Public Cloud, Threat Prevention, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Wireless Infrastructure.

You will be both technically and commercially aware and have experience with Palo Alto Next gerneration Firwalls and ideally some knowledge based around other competitor products from Fortinet, Juniper, Checkpoint, Cisco etc.

Must live around the Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex, region.  Will be home based once fully trained.
